Crisóstomo, a solitary fisherman in his early 40s, carries within him the guilt of never having become a father. In search of a child without a father, since he himself is a father without a son, Crisóstomo crosses paths with Camilo, a 12-year-old orphan boy. Soon, they embark together on a risky yet rewarding journey to form an unconventional family. In the village where they live, an misunderstood young man named Antonino and a woman fleeing her own pain, Isaura, enter the lives of Crisóstomo and Camilo. Together, the four of them learn the true meaning of family and the purpose of sharing life.
